1. Required Items:

Mercato device with Ethernet network interface

To perform a firmware update using the Firmware Update Ethernet software, you need a device with an Ethernet network interface. Mercato devices that have this feature include:

   Climate Line: MFC-ETH e MFC46.

    Complementary: MCM, ME46 e MRB.

    ClimatePRO: MCP17-ETH, MCP18-ETH , MCP46, MCP50 e MCP-IOT.

Omnirate: GLM, MCI, MEC e MEI (all models ).

Device Firmware

To access the firmware files, go to Mercato's website by clicking this linkThe firmware files are available on the page of the specific device you wish to update.

Update Software

You can download the software by clicking this link.

Network Cable

To update the devices, connect the device to your computer using a network cable.
Note: The cable can be either straight-through or crossover.

Device IP Address

The default IP address of Mercato devices is 10.1.1.240. If you have changed this IP, you can find it as follows:

  • Devices with a display: navigate through the settings to find the IP.
  • Devices without a display: you will need to reset the IP address as described below.

While the device is powered on, press and hold the RESET IP button for 10 seconds. The interface will be reconfigured to the default IP (10.1.1.240). The operation LED will blink rapidly to indicate this status.

MAC Address

Mercato devices have the MAC Address printed on a label on the side of the device. This address is composed of 6 bytes separated by colons ":" or hyphens "-", totaling 12 alphanumeric characters (e.g., 00:19:B9:FB:E2:58).

If you cannot find your device’s MAC Address, follow these steps:

    1. Open the Command Prompt as shown below:

    2. Type ping followed by a space, your device’s IP address, another space, and then -t. Press Enter. Example:

3. Then type arp -a and press Enter

Device Manual (optional)

It’s helpful to have the wiring diagram of the device you are updating. This diagram can be found in the Integrator Manual on the device's page on Mercato’s website.

2. Preparation

 Connect the network cable

1. Connect your computer to the device using a network cable.

2. Check the device’s manual for the correct power supply voltage and connect it accordingly.

 Configure the Ethernet port

1. In the Windows search bar, type “View network connections” and select the corresponding option.

2. Right-click on Ethernet and click Properties

3. Double-click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)

4. Fill in the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway fields as shown below.
The IP address must be in the same range as the device’s IP, but the final number must be different

Example: If your device’s IP is 10.1.1.240, your computer’s IP could be 10.1.1.244.

3. Update

1. Right-click the Firmware Update Ethernet software icon and select Run as administrator

2. A dialog box may appear:  “Deseja permitir que este aplicativo faça alterações no seu dispositivo?” Click “Sim”. Then, the update window will open.

3. Enter your device’s IP address in the IP field.

4. Enter the device’s MAC Address in the MAC field.

5. Click the browse button (three dots) and select the firmware update file. If you downloaded it, it will likely be in your Downloads folder.

Note: The file type must be .boot.

6. To put your device into update mode, there are two options: via the device’s interface or via the update software. See below:

  • Using the update software: After completing the previous steps, click Inicia BOOT.

  • Using the device interface: The following devices must be put into update mode manually:
    MCP46-A, MCP46-D, ME46-A-B, ME46-A-M, ME46-D-B, ME46-D-M.
To do so, power on the device while holding the RESET IP button.

7. If you entered update mode via Inicia BOOT:
Click Update approximately 10 seconds after pressing Inicia BOOT.
If the device was put into update mode manually: just click Atualizar

8. Wait for the firmware to transfer.

9. After the transfer, a confirmation window will appear. Click OK

10. If you followed all steps correctly, the device has been updated. It is recommended to restart the device after the update.

Note 1: If there is a communication loss or power failure, the update will be interrupted. In this case, restart the boot and update process.

Note 2: If an error occurs when clicking Update, disable your Wi-Fi and try again with Wi-Fi turned off. Caso ocorra erro ao clicar em Atualizar, desabilite o Wi-Fi conforme imagem abaixo e tente clicar em Atualizar novamente com o Wi-Fi desligado.
